Why do you bother to back up to discharge the bale when the baler is fitted with a bale ramp? Many years ago I fitted one to a Rollant 62 so I didn't have to do that.
I have the same qestion, never did it with 255rc 🤷♂️

It's to perk these hard bales slightly uphill otherwise they tend to end up at the bottom of the field 😄. Also in these large rows, dropping back avoids any more crop being taken in, which could interrupt the net wrapping or get thrown on the floor behind the baler.
